Arrive in Denver

We transfer to the airport for our flight to Denver, Colorado, to begin our Western frontier adventure. Meet our Tour Manager for a welcome dinner. Meals: D

Day 2 - Thursday - July 10
Travel  to South Dakota & Mount Rushmore

Travel through Wyoming into South Dakota. Arrive at the epic Mount Rushmore National Memorial where four of the nation’s noted Presidents are immortalized. See the monument, enjoy dinner and experience the largest statue museum in the world. Meals: B, D

Day 3 - Friday - July 11
Black Hills Touring & Custer State Park Jeep Ride

Begin the day with an exciting open-air Jeep ride through Custer State Park in search of the country’s largest herd of American bison. Visit the colossal Crazy Horse Memorial, which will be 563 feet high and 641 feet long when completed! Meal: B

Day 4 - Saturday - July 12
Deadwood Touring & Devils Tower

Our tour of Deadwood takes us along the same streets walked by Wild Bill Hickok and Calamity Jane. We’ll also visit Boot Hill, the final resting place of some of Deadwood’s famous citizens. Crossing into Wyoming we come to Devils Tower National Monument. This looming monolith served as the backdrop for the classic Steven Spielberg film Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Meals: B, D 

Day 5 - Sunday - July 13
Cody & Buffalo Bill Territory

Today travel across the expansive Bighorn Mountains to the Buffalo Bill Historical Center. Encounter some of these historic figures, including Bill himself, the renowned sharpshooter Annie Oakley, and Indian Chief Sitting Bull, before arriving in Yellowstone National Park. (B, D)

Day 6 - Monday - July 14
Full Day in Yellowstone National Park

A full day of sightseeing in Yellowstone, the nation’s first national park, features outstanding natural spectacles including renowned geysers and thermal basins. Our tour begins with the awesome 1,200-foot-deep Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, including views from Inspiration and Lookout Points. Also see Norris Geyser Basin, filled with an incredible variety of steam vents, mud pots, geysers, and hot springs. Then, head for storied Old Faithful geyser, named for its regular eruptions about every 80 to 90 minutes for some 150 years, before returning to our park lodge. (B)

Day 7 - Tuesday - July 15
Grand Teton National Park

This morning, travel along Rockefeller Memorial Parkway into magnificent Grand Teton National Park, drive alongside lovely Jackson and Jenny Lakes, visit the Chapel of the Transfiguration, while, of course enjoying splendid views of the rugged, towering Tetons along the way. Tonight the dinner bell will call you to the Bar T 5 Covered Wagon Cookout and Show for an evening of song, stories, entertainment and authentic cowboy chow. (B, D)

Day 8 - Wednesday - July 16
Scenic Float Trip & Jackson Hole

The spectacular vistas of the Grand Teton Mountains offer a thrilling view from the white waters of the Snake River during a delightful floating trip. With its wooden boardwalks and unique antler-horn arches, downtown Jackson Hole brings the Old West to life. Catch local cowpokes in action at the Jackson Hole Rodeo. Meal: B

Day 9 - Thursday - July 17
Salt Lake City

Today explore Salt Lake City’s historic Temple Square and walk in the footsteps of the Mormon settlers. Tonight, enjoy an included farewell dinner. Meals: B,D

Day 10 - Friday - July 18

Travel Home

    Day 1 - Friday - July 11
    Travel to Cumberland, MD / Western Maryland Scenic Railroad / Flight 93 National Memorial 

    This morning we depart for a pleasurable Summer journey. We head to Cumberland, Maryland, for a scenic train excursion aboard the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad. This railroad offers a journey through the Allegheny Mountains, and we’ll see charming small towns and picturesque villages as the train chugs along to its destination in Frostburg. On to Flight 93 National Memorial, a place of peaceful reflection. Be inspired by the courageous actions of the passengers and crew of Flight 93. See the Tower of Voices and pay reverent homage to the fallen heroes at the Wall of Names located at Memorial Plaza. Afterwards, we continue to Somerset for our included dinner and overnight accommodations. (D) 

    Day 2 - Saturday - July 12
    Quecreek Mine Rescue Site / Fallingwater / Travel Home

    Today we visit the Quecreek Mine Rescue Site where nine miners were trapped underground for 77 hours. See and hear about this remarkable feat of underground rescue as all miners were successfully rescued. Traveling on through the Laurel Highlands we arrive at the remote mountain site, Fallingwater, located in Southwest Pennsylvania. Fallingwater was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and is recognized worldwide. This architectural masterpiece, known for its cantilevered balconies that extend over the Bear Run Stream, was used as a mountain retreat by the Edgar Kauffman family. Inspired by the mountainous landscape surrounding it, and filled with custom furniture designed by Wright specifically for it, Fallingwater is a must-see attraction. Lunch can be enjoyed on our own here. Soon we’ll board the coach for our journey home. (B)

Spend two nights in the cosmopolitan capital of Lisbon, Portugal with a tour showcasing the famous sights of this remarkable city. Enroute to Porto, visit the pilgrimage site of Fátima and the university town of Coimbra. Navigate a path through Portugal’s enchanting countryside while cruising along the dramatic Douro River.     Today we’ll travel to Washington, DC, for our overnight flight to Lisbon, Portugal. 

    Day 2 - Thursday - July 17
    Lisbon, Portugal

    Upon arrival, we’ll transfer to our hotel with the upon arrival.  The remainder of the day is at your leisure to explore Lisbon. This evening, join your fellow travelers for an included dinner. (D)

    Day 3 - Friday - July 18
    Panaramic City Tour of Lisbon

    After breakfast, an included tour highlights the famous sites of the city. During a panoramic coach tour, see ‘Monument to the Discoveries,’ and Belem Tower, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit Jerónimos Monastery and discover the unique architecture and history. Enjoy a free afternoon to shop, dine and experience this cosmopolitan city on your own. (B)

    Day 4 - Saturday - July 19
    Fátima / Coimbra / Porto - River Cruising begins

    Depart Lisbon by coach and journey to the ship in Porto.  Enroute, visit Fátima, home to the Sanctuary of Fátima, an important Catholic pilgrimage site.  The city’s fame originates from the apparitions of Our Lady of the Rosary that appeared to three shepherd children in the nearby fields.  Continue to Coimbra and its famous university before arriving in Porto to embark the MS Emerald Radiance, home for the next seven nights.     Day 5 - Sunday - July 20
    River Cruising - Porto / Pinhão

    Today is a day of sailing through the twists and turns of the Douro Valley. Designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this area is sparsely populated by quaint villages, sun-drenched vineyards and small farms. Later today, arrive in the village of Pinhão, perfectly situated on a river bend surrounded by terraced hillsides that produce some of the world’s best Port wine. Tonight, enjoy a welcome reception and dinner. ( B, L, D)

    Day 6 - Monday - July 21
    River Cruising - Pinhão / Vega de Terrón

    Begin the day with a visit to the beautiful 18th-century estate of Quinta do Tedo Vineyard with spectacular views of the Douro Valley. Learn about wine production, its importance to the culture and economy, and enjoy a tasting of the local vintage. Alternatively, enjoy a guided walk through local vineyards OR, embark on a kayak excursion along the river. This afternoon, the ship sails for Vega de Terrón, gateway to Spain.  (B, L, D)

    Day 7 - Tuesday - July 22

    River Crusiing - Salamanca, Spain

    Today’s excursion takes you to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Salamanca, Spain. During the guided walking tour, see amazingly detailed and intricately carved buildings of the university and the House of Shells. Regal splendor abounds in the Plaza Mayor, the heartbeat of the city. You’ll have free time for lunch and to explore independently before returning to the ship in Portugal. (B, D) 

    Day 8 - Wednesday - July 23

    River Cruising - Pocinho / Régua, Portugal

    Arrive in Pocinho and disembark for a morning tour to the Côa Valley Museum. Designed to blend in with its surroundings, the museum’s concrete structure houses prehistoric stone carvings made by the early inhabitants of the Douro which were uncovered during construction of a nearby dam project. Return to the ship for lunch and relax on deck as the ship sails through idyllic surroundings on the way to Régua. This evening, enjoy an off-ship dinner at a traditional vineyard estate. (B, L, D) 

    Day 9 - Thursday - July 24

    River Cruising - Régua – Lamego

    From Régua, journey by coach to the marvelous baroque village of Lamego, home to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Remedies - one of the most important pilgrimage sites in Portugal. Visit the Sanctuary perched atop the hill, with its iconic 686-step granite staircase, decorated with the traditional Portuguese blue and white ‘azulejos’ tiles. Return to the ship in Régua after the excursion. (B, L, D) 

    Day 10 - Friday - July 25

    River Cruising - Porto 

    Having traversed the Douro River, the ship returns to Porto – a city with an eclectic mix of modern and ancient architecture. An included tour highlights the sights from its scenic beauty to the historic landmarks of the Castelo da Foz and Castelo do Queijo. For those who wish to see the charms of Porto on foot, the Active walk through the town will bring you closer to the vibrant daily life of the locals. The remainder of the afternoon is at leisure in Porto. (B, L, D)

    Day 11 - Saturday - July 26

    Porto / Home

    This morning, disembark the MS Emerald Radiance and transfer to the Lisbon Airport bidding a fond farewell to Portugal, filled with memories of this remarkable cruise along the ‘River of Gold.’  (B)

With more than 300 animals and elaborate sets, Noah is a journey through time that we’ll never forget! Relive this awesome time when a family was told to build this huge floating vessel and fill it with animals. We’ll actually be a part of Noah’s family “in the Ark” when God shuts the door and the first raindrop falls. In addition, we’ll enjoy lunch and The Wizard of Oz at Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre.  Come along and enjoy! 

     Day 1 - Friday - July 18
    Arrive in Lancaster / Noah

    All aboard our motor coach as we travel north to Lancaster’s Amish Country. Upon arrival we’ll attend the matinee performance of Noah presented at Sight and Sound Theatre. With a catastrophic storm on the way, Noah is given a monumental task - build a boat big enough to save his family from a flood that will cover the entire earth. As Noah endeavors to live faithfully in the midst of an increasingly chaotic world, can he trust that God’s promises run deeper than the rising water around him? This landmark production takes us on board one of the world’s best known voyages as live animals fill the stage and aisles. Set sail on the enormous ark as this extraordinary story comes to life right before our eyes. This is an experience we’ll long remember! Afterwards dinner is included at one of our favorite restaurants, and we’ll check into our hotel for the evening. (D)

    Day 2 - Saturday - July 19
    The Wizard of Oz at Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre / Travel Home 

    After our included breakfast at the hotel, we meet our local guide for a fascinating backroads tour of Amish Country with its fertile fields and American charm. Next we stop at either Bird-in-Hand Market or Kitchen Kettle Village. Here we find homemade baked goods, local crafts, and other Amish treasures. We continue to Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre for an included lunch and The Wizard of Oz. Follow the yellow brick road and the timeless tale of Dorothy, a farm girl from Kansas, who travels over the rainbow to the magical land of Oz only to find there’s no place like home. Following the show we’ll board our coach for the trip home. (B,L)

    Day 2 - Saturday - July 19
    Rocky Mountain National Park

    Departing Denver, venture into Rocky Mountain National Park, a living showcase of the grandeur of the Rocky Mountains. With elevations ranging from 8,000 feet on the wet, grassy valleys to 14,259 feet at the weather-ravaged top of Longs Peak, the park is filled with breathtaking scenery and experiences. Following the Trail Ridge Road a stop at the Alpine Visitor Center offers an opportunity to learn more about this fascinating place. Meal: B

    Day 3 - Sunday - July 20
    Leadville Colorado and Southern Railroad

    Today, travel to historic Leadville to board the Leadville Colorado & Southern Railroad. While onboard, learn about the fascinating history of the railroads and hear ghost stories and tales of the wild from your conductor while traveling north along the Arkansas River Valley. Rising up 1,000 feet from the valley floor you will be greeted by spectacular views of Fremont Pass and the two tallest peaks in Colorado, Mount Massive and Mount Elbert. Later, travel through scenic Monarch Pass and Curecanti National Recreation Area while en route to Montrose. Meals: B, Box Lunch

    Day 4 - Monday - July 21
    Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad

    This morning, visit the Black Canyon of Gunnison National Park, Then, it’s “full steam ahead” as you board the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. Voted one of the “Top Ten Most Exciting Train Journeys in the World” by the Society of American Travel Writers, this route winds through the spectacular and breathtaking canyons in the remote wilderness of the two-million acre San Juan National Forest. The locomotives used today remain 100% coal-fired, steam-operated and are maintained in their original condition. Later, check into the Sky Ute Casino Resort where you may wish to give “Lady Luck” a try. Meals: B, D

    Day 5 - Tuesday - July 22
    Mesa Verde National Park

    Visit the land of the ancient Pueblo Indians in Mesa Verde National Park. The fascinating cliff dwellings and culture of these people provide you with a look into a society that existed approximately 1,400 years ago. Building elaborate stone communities, the Pueblo developed their own society that existed for some 700 years, before disappearing. Archeologists called them Anasazi, from a Navajo word translating as “the ancient ones.” Meals: B, D

    Day 6 - Wednesday - July 23
    Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad

    Your day begins as you board the motorcoach and ride to the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad, the original Rio Grande Line. This is America’s most spectacular narrow gauge steam railroad. Explore 50 miles of wild and rugged territory between Chama, New Mexico and Antonito, Colorado, the highest point on the railroad. Meals: B, L

    Day 7 - Thursday - July 24
    Royal Gorge Route Railroad & Garden of the Gods

    Aboard the Royal Gorge Railroad follow the 12-mile route along the old Denver and Rio Grande Western train line. Ride through the “Grand Canyon of the Arkansas” on an unforgettable journey over the famous Hanging Bridge, which clings precariously to the steep granite walls of Royal Gorge. Then, enjoy a drive through the stunning Garden of the Gods. This 1,300 acre park reflect the rich diversity of the terrain and red sandstone formations tell a unique geological story. Meal: B

    Day 8 - Friday - July 25
    Cripple Creek & Victor Narrow Gauge Railroad & Pikes Peak Cog Railway

    Begin the day with a ride on the Cripple Creek & Victor Narrow Gauge Railroad. Scenic wonders await around every curve and this century-old steam locomotive is reminiscent of the gold mining days of the area. Then “Ride to the Clouds” aboard the Pikes Peak Cog Railway, the highest cog railroad in the U.S. which stretches nine miles long as it vertically climbs to almost 14,000 feet. This evening assemble for a farewell dinner, sharing memories of this unforgettable scenic rail adventure. Meals: B, D
